Hello, Husky Families!
We are very excited to see all of our students on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 for the first day of school! Please check your bus routes on the website and by using the link on Infinite Campus under More/Transportation. If you have trouble with the tool on the website or have questions about your child’s bus route, please contact Transportation at (434) 515-5100 starting at 6:00 a.m. on August 10, 2021.
The official hours of school this year are 8:55 a.m.-3:55 p.m. Car riders and buses will begin unloading at 8:40 a.m. We will have Grab and Go To the Classroom Breakfast available FREE to all students. We also have FREE lunch for all students at Bedford Hills. Of course, students are welcome to pack their lunch as well. Dismissal will be at 3:55 p.m., with our last bus scheduled to leave at 4:10 p.m., however please be patient for the first few weeks as we get into a routine. Please see the attachment for specific directions regarding Parent Pick-Up/Car Riders.
All students and staff will be required to wear a mask while indoors. Bandanas, neck gaiters, valves, mesh and scarves are not permitted. We will continue our mitigation strategies with frequent hand washing, having hand sanitizer available throughout the school, thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting as well as social distancing and staying in grade level cohorts as much as possible. We have touchless water fountains throughout the school, so please have your child bring a water bottle to school. Visitors who are delivering items, picking up mail, etc. will be required to wear a mask as well. Other visitors and volunteers are not permitted at this time. While outdoors, students and staff will not be required to wear a mask. LCS will continue to monitor the situation and make decisions along the way for everyone's safety.
Lunch will be in the cafeteria with students seated in every other seat. Accommodations can be made for those requesting more extensive spacing during lunch. Please email me at [email protected] to request accommodations or with any other questions or concerns.
