Dear LCS families,

LCS administration is aware of a petition and the possibility of a protest at a non-school site on Tuesday, January 12 related to LCS’ return to in-person instruction.

LCS is working in collaboration with the Lynchburg Police Department to ensure student and staff safety, which remains at the forefront of all decisions made by LCS. Our efforts are focused on best serving our students and supporting our staff.

We will err on the side of caution as we return to in-person learning by working together with families, staff, and the community to keep everyone safe by following our policies, practices, and local ordinances.

Families who choose to keep hybrid students home due to this possible protest may continue with remote-only instruction. Please contact your child’s teacher by 9:00 a.m. if you choose to remain remote-only on this day.

If you have any questions related to your child, please contact your building principal.
