Dear LCS families,

Virginia received approval to issue additional Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) food assistance to eligible students.

What Families are Eligible to Receive the Benefit?

All LCS students who have access to the National School Lunch Program (this includes all LCS-enrolled students*) are eligible to receive the benefit. Participation in the program is voluntary. If you received a P-EBT card during the last round of distributed benefits, your benefits will be automatically added to your card.

What do Eligible Parents/Guardians Need to do to Receive the Benefit?

Parents and guardians, please make sure your information, particularly your child’s guardian information, is accurate in Infinite Campus. This is very important because LCS shares student/guardian information with the Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS), and the VDSS uses this information to distribute the benefits. If primary guardian information, and other information are incorrect, this could delay or prevent you from receiving the benefit. Please verify your information in Infinite Campus by noon on Wednesday, January 13. If you have questions about how to access or update your information in Infinite Campus, please contact your child’s school.

Who do I Contact for Questions about Benefit Distribution?

Lynchburg City Schools’ role in the benefits issuance is limited only to providing the VDSS with the student enrollment and guardian information. We are not able to answer questions or assist with benefit distribution. Please direct any questions you have about the P-EBT cards to the Virginia Department of Social Services or 1 (866) 281-2448.
