Lynchburg City Schools (LCS) introduced the division’s 2026-31 Strategic Plan on June 16, 2026. A roadmap for the future of education in Lynchburg, this plan will guide our school division as we strive to promote student success and meet the needs of our community.
The plan focuses on five key goals: student-driven learning, student-centered school culture, purpose-driven people, safe and sustainable systems, and trusted partnerships. It is designed to help LCS empower students for future success through high-quality instruction, supportive learning environments, and experiences that connect classroom learning to real-world opportunities.
The strategic plan incorporates feedback and insights from LCS staff, students, community members, and leaders. Advanced Learning Partnerships, Inc., facilitated its development.
