The top fifteen seniors from E. C. Glass and Heritage High Schools' class of 2011 were honored by local colleges and the Lynchburg City Schools Education Foundation, Inc. in late May. The seventh annual Senior Honors Recognition Program and Dinner was held in the Lynchburg College Memorial Ballroom. Along with the Education Foundation, Central Virginia Community College, Liberty University, Lynchburg College, Randolph College, Sweet Briar College, and Virginia University of Lynchburg supported the program.

Each honoree brought their parents or guardians, along with a teacher from their K-12 educational experience who made a lasting impact on his or her life. During the dinner student received advice from, LCS alumni and master’s degree candidate, Corey A. Barnes. Each student also received a certificate honoring their success.
