The E. C. Glass Girls Soccer Team, coached by Darien McClurg, presented Sue Thornton (chair of the Scholarship Committee at the Awareness Garden) with a check for $2,000 that they raised with a pink game and car wash. This will go into the scholarship fund that will benefit an area student who has been affected by cancer or who is going into a cancer-related field. Steve Crank is chairman of the Awareness Garden Foundation, and Keith Fisher and Kay Vaughan are also on the Board. Cotton Connection donated the T-shirts for the girls to wear in their pink game.
