Dear LCS families,

INTERNET ACCESS SITE & CONTINUITY OF LEARNING

We are excited to let you know we have additional internet access sites available for families in need of assistance connecting to the internet for the Continuity of Learning opportunities. The following sites, in addition to the ones at E. C. Glass and Dunbar, are now available 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

  • Hutcherson Early Learning Center (2401 High St.) parking lot
  • Heritage High School (3101 Wards Ferry Rd.) student parking lot

The available networks are LCS-Wireless (students), LCS-Secure (students/staff), and LCS-Public (public).

The Family Connect Team has begun calling families that we have not heard from. Information collected is to help students with continuity of learning resources.

The choice boards are being updated with new content weekly on the LCS AT HOME site at www.lcsedu.net/at-home. We hope you are finding these helpful during this school closure and that students are able to continue their learning as best as possible. Families and students are encouraged to continue to connect with teachers and engage in the activities posted on the website. We know it’s not easy. The choice boards are meant to be a helpful resource and not something to cause additional stress during a difficult time. If you have any questions about the activities offered, please reach out to your child’s teacher. We are here to help.

SCHOOL LUNCH HERO DAY

This Friday is School Lunch Hero Day. Join us as we celebrate our awesome LCS school nutrition staff who continues to serve students, even while our buildings are closed. When you see a member of the LCS school nutrition team out serving meals, tell them "Thank You and We Appreciate You!"
