LCS School Nutrition invites you to "make some noise" for Farm to School October 7, 2020

October is National Farm to School Month, a time to celebrate connections happening all over the country between schools and local food! Farm to school enriches the connection communities have with fresh, healthy food and local food producers.

We hope you will join us in the 4th annual Crunch Heard ‘Round the Commonwealth. All Virginians are invited to take a bite of a Virginia Grown apple on Wednesday, October 7th to make some noise for Farm to School. The Crunch event is part of Virginia Farm to School Week celebrations taking place across the Commonwealth.

For this year’s "Crunch," LCS School Nutrition has purchased Gala apples grown by Berrier Farms in Cana, Virginia. One of these delicious apples will be included in every school lunch on Wednesday, October 7th for students both in-building and remote learning.

Grab your apple on October 7th and make some noise for Farm to School!
