The LCS School Board joined the Virginia Association of Superintendents (VASS) and the Virginia School Board Association (VSBA) to recognize Superintendent Crystal Edwards during the April 13 school board meeting.
VASS annually selects a superintendent of the year, and this year, the organization opted to recognize all 133 Virginia Public School Superintendents for their extraordinary leadership during the pandemic.
Along with the School Board, Dr. Edwards was surprised by school principals and administrators and presented with gifts.
Congratulations, Dr. Edwards for a well deserved honor and recognition, and thank you for your continued leadership and devotion to the academic success, welfare, and safety of each child in Lynchburg City Schools.
