Updated Bus Route Info Available Now
Please check your My Ride K-12 app to view updated information about your child’s bus commute for this school year. Some routes, stop locations, and pickup and drop-off times have been changed. Be sure to double-check the app, as new updates were made over the weekend.
Please note that this information is only available in My Ride K-12; it is not in Infinite Campus. Download the My Ride K-12 app today from the Apple or Android app store, then enter your child’s school and student ID to get started. If you don’t know your child’s student ID, please contact their school. Visit our Transportation App page to learn more.
If you have questions about your child’s bus commute, contact your child’s school. As students and staff adjust to the new school year, you may experience bus delays. Please be patient with your driver!
Safety Reminders
At LCS, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We strive to respond quickly and appropriately to potential safety concerns while minimizing disruptions to instruction. In the event of an emergency, schools may initiate actions such as Restricted Entry & Exit, Hold, Lockdown, Evacuate, Shelter, and Reunification.
LCS uses a mass notification system to send emails, phone calls, and text messages to families during emergency situations. Please make sure your contact information is up to date with LCS so that you receive notifications in the event of an emergency.
Visit our Safety page to learn more about our safety procedures, including emergency response protocols, crisis communication, proactive measures to prevent emergencies, and school security personnel.
Student Dress Code
All students must wear attire that meets the following expectations:
- Tops: Shirts must fully cover the chest and midriff, with no skin visible in these areas. Low necklines, see-through clothing, exposed undergarments, strapless tops, and backless tops are prohibited.
- Bottoms: Pants, shorts, skirts, and dresses must be worn at the waistline and reach the mid-thigh, with no rips or holes exposing skin in this zone. Undergarments must be fully covered. Students should wear shirts that cover their backside when wearing leggings or yoga pants.
- Sleepwear: Pajamas, pajama pants, nightgowns, robes, blankets, and other items designed as sleepwear are prohibited.
- Shoes: Footwear must be worn at all times and allow students to move safely, including during emergency procedures. Unsafe or distracting shoes, such as flip-flops, slippers, and wheeled shoes, are prohibited. Certain classes or activities, like physical education, lab courses, or technical programs, may require special footwear as specified.
Off & Away All Day
At LCS, we want to foster a distraction-free environment in which every student can succeed. As we start the school year, don’t forget that all students are required to keep personal electronic devices Off & Away All Day. Devices include cell phones, smart watches, earbuds, and headphones.
Code of Conduct
The new LCS Code of Conduct outlines expectations for all students, including attendance requirements, use of electronic devices, school bus conduct, prohibited behaviors, enforcement, and more. Please review the Code of Conduct with your child in full.
