Members of the Lynchburg City School Division want to hear from you! The budget for the 2010–2011 school year promises to be very challenging. Right now, the school board is looking at a projected 10% cut in funding from the state and city levels. But before the school board makes any decisions they want to hear from the public. Superintendent Paul McKendrick, along with the Lynchburg City School Board, invite you to three public forums to discuss the budget for the 2010–2011 school year.

A sign-up sheet will be available at each location 30 minutes prior to the forum. Members of the community will have 3 minutes to speak on his or her own behalf and 5 minutes if representing a group.

The forum dates are as follows:

January 25, 2010  4:00 p.m.  Linkhorne Middle School
January 26, 2010  7:00 p.m.  Heritage High school
January 28, 2010  7:00 p.m.  E.C. Glass High School
