What is Partners in Education?

  • It is a mutually beneficial program that provides an important way for all who have a stake in our schools to make a contribution.
  • It encourages businesses and schools to come together to create a shared vision about what students need in order to succeed and how all parties can collaborate to provide human and material resources to meet those needs.
  • It pairs businesses, organizations and institutions serving the community with Lynchburg City Schools to enhance and expand the educational opportunities for all children.

Partners In Education is a joint venture between Lynchburg City Schools and the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance (formerly the Lynchburg Regional Chamber). Officially started on September 3, 1990, this program has been designed to create links between the school division and area businesses. In the 30-year history of the program, Lynchburg City Schools has partnered with over 250 area businesses, organizations, and institutions.
