Areva, B&W, NovatechSeveral juniors and seniors at Heritage and E. C. Glass high schools have been chosen to participate this semester in an internship program with AREVA, NOVATech and Babcock & Wilcox. Each semester, these companies work with a new group of local high school students who are interested in engineering.

Those selected from Heritage are: Spencer Mason, Jacob Carroll, Ye-Chan Jeoung, Brennan Landis, Kyler Berthiaume, David Cardwell, and Nadirah Abdus-Sabur.

Those selected from E.C. Glass are: Kenneth Conway, Michael Daniel, Alex Hallett, Kellen Newby, Colin Olson, and Walker Paxton.

These students will work directly with different engineers based on their own interests. Each student shadows the engineer he or she is assigned to four times in a semester.  This opportunity gives students valuable job exposure and helps them decide whether or not they want to choose engineering as a career.
