Competing with 71 students in grades six through eight, several students from Dunbar, Linkhorne, and Sandusky middle schools were recognized for their efforts in the 2017 Central Virginia Regional Science Fair Challenge.

The following participants from LCS were nominated to compete at the National level for the Broadcom Masters Competition through the Society for Science and the Public:
