Attention All Athletes!

All Dunbar Middle School student athletes trying out for any fall sport must have all paperwork completed with the appropriate signature and turned in prior to tryouts in order to receive a “Ticket 2 Play.”

All Dunbar Middle School students trying out for any sport must complete the “Ticket 2 Play” process prior to trying-out for any sport team. This process is required to be completed prior to the beginning of each season. Multi-sport athletes will need to get a “Ticket” for each sport season in which they plan to participate.

This process is in place for students to submit all required paperwork to the Athletic Department. Students will receive a “Ticket” once all of the required paperwork has been submitted. It is the parent’s/athlete’s responsibility to have all forms completed. Forms will not be accepted unless they are completed.

Necessary paperwork:

  1. VHSL Physical Exam (after May 1 st 2019)
  2. Concussion form signed by both the student and parent
  3. Uniform Contract

“Ticket 2 Play” sessions for Fall Sports will take place in the gym on the following dates:

9:00 am. to 12:00 p.m.

July 10th Football/Cheerleading
July 11th Girls Tennis/Cross Country/ Volleyball
July 15th Make up day

After the ”Ticket” has been issued, it is the athlete’s responsibility to get his/her “Ticket 2 Play” card and turn it in to the coach on the first day of tryouts. This will inform the coach that the student has turned in all required paperwork and is eligible to try-out. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Dunbar Middle School Athletic Director, Jerry Miller at [email protected].
