Message from Mrs. Steele, Principal

Happy New Year to everyone!  We are excited to welcome our hybrid students back this week to in-person learning on their cohort days.

School pictures will be going home with students this week for those that ordered in advance and information on how to view your child’s picture and still order, if you are interested. For our remote students that came to picture night, please call/come to the school to pick up your pictures.

Friday, January 15 is the end of the 1st semester. Report cards will be sent home with students on January 26 (Cohort A) or January 28 (Cohort B). Remote student report cards will be available in the portal.

The 2nd semester begins on Tuesday, January 19. There is no school on Monday, January 18 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day). If you have notified us that you are making a change from remote to hybrid or hybrid to remote, the teacher should be contacting you by the end of the day tomorrow. For those changing from remote to hybrid, the teacher will also share bus information.

We have hotspots available to support at-home learning for our families that do not have internet or unstable internet. The hotspot is very small and portable (about the size of a credit card), so it is also helpful for students that need internet when they go to a babysitter or another home, so they can continue to learn. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the teacher, the office (434) 515-5210 or email me at [email protected]. We appreciate your partnership and frequent communication so we can work together to support our children!
