The 39th Annual Lynchburg Marching Band Classic will be held Saturday, October 9, beginning at 2:30 at City Stadium. Tickets are $5 and are available at the gate. This year's show, sponsored by Lynchburg Music, is the largest in the history of the Classic, with 22 competing bands and 4 exhibitions. Exhibition performances will be given by hosts, E.C. Glass High School and Heritage High School; as well as by Heritage Pride from Heritage Elementary School and the 200-member "Spirit of the Mountain" Liberty University Marching Band. The National Anthem will be performed by the Dunbar, Sandusky, and Linkhorne Middle School combined bands. Full concessions will be available throughout the day. This is a GREAT family event.
