HHS Groundbreaking - School Board and City Council

Lynchburg City Council and School Board members were joined by over 100 hundred supporters at the Heritage High School Groundbreaking Ceremony on April 22nd.

Visitors were greeted by cheerful students and staff, and the ceremony opened with performances from the HHS JROTC and band students, who gave the presentation of colors and performed the National Anthem.

HHS Principal Tim Beatty, Mayor Michael Gillette, School Board Chairman Gina Dolan-Sewell, and Superintendent Scott Brabrand spoke to the crowd, thanking various individuals for their vital roles moving this project forward to provide the City of Lynchburg with two showcase public high schools.
