The Heritage High School Rifle Club closed out its 2013-2014 competition season with a memorable performance at the American Legion Department of Virginia 3 Position Air Rifle Tournament Finals. The team qualified to attend this state tournament by placing in the top three at the American Legion Western Region Tournament earlier this spring.
This invitation to the state level is especially significant because the team lost its top seven marksmen to graduation last year. This young group stepped up to continue the team’s state run and placed 8th out of the nine teams that were invited to the competition.
“I highly congratulate the Cadets for their memorable showing at this prestigious event,” said Senior Marine Instructor Major Jeff Ranowsky.
