EC Glass High SchoolE.C. Glass finished third in the Wells Fargo Cup Group 4A standings for the 2013-2014 school year.

The Hilltoppers finished third out of 56 schools, and this is the fourth year in a row they have made the top 5. 

First awarded in 1990, the Wells Fargo Cup goes to the school in each group classification that has achieved the best overall record in VHSL state-level competition in 27 sports – the state champions’ state champion.

The winner of the Wells Fargo Cup is determined by a point system based on performance in state championship events.  Points are awarded for all sanctioned sports in the following manner.

  • First place  50                  
  • Second place 45                  
  • Third place  40                   
  • Fourth place 35                  
  • Fifth place 30
  • Sixth place 25
  • Seventh place 20
  • Eighth place 15

E. C. Glass earned 335 points, third to Midlothian (387.5) and Grafton (385).
