The 11th Annual Senior Honors Recognition program and dinner was held on, May 3, 2015 to recognize thirty of Lynchburg City Schools’ top academic (GPA) students. Fifteen E. C. Glass and fifteen Heritage High School students were honored. Also attending were parents/guardians, special teacher guests, school board members, Foundation trustees, school administrators, and representatives from our sponsoring colleges and universities. Philipp Gabathuler, a graduate of Lynchburg City Schools, is an urban planner at Region 2000 Local Government Council who has chosen to return to the area and make Lynchburg his home, provided an amusing but insightful keynote address for our young graduates to help prepare these students for the next phase of their education.

During the program each student was presented with a Certificate of Academic Excellence signed by the school superintendent and school board chairperson
