Friday, October 27
There are two football game options. Glass vs. Liberty Christian Academy at Liberty University stadium at 7:30 p.m. or Heritage vs. Amherst at City Stadium at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $5.00 per person. Then from 8:00-midnight, there will be a meet and greet with a cash bar at the downtown Holiday Inn.
Saturday, October 28
School Tour of the Renovated Building: 10:00 a.m.-noon. Lunch will be on your own, and information will be available for restaurants especially in the downtown and riverfront area.
Walking Tour: 2:00-4:00 p.m. Meet at the Percival Island parking lot for a walking tour along the lower basin.
Main Event: Activities at the Holiday Inn will begin with a social hour at 6:00 p.m. followed by a buffet dinner at 7:00. From 8:00-9:00 there will be the music of Taylor Rodriguez followed by music from the era played by a guest DJ until midnight. Cost for the weekend will be $67.00 each whether alumni or guest. Lodging: Holiday Inn at 6th & Main in Lynchburg,VA. Rooms available on the Friday and Saturday nights for $105 per night + tax. TO MAKE RESERVATIONS: Call the Lynchburg Holiday Inn, (434) 528-2500, and ask for reservations. Request a reservation for the E. C. Glass Reunion, code ECG, for October 27-28. The rooms come with either a king bed or two double beds. Rooms can be cancelled as late as 6:00 p.m. on 10/27/17. There are only 20 rooms reserved so if all the rooms are booked, the rate defaults to their current rate ($179 as of 1/13/17).
