Virginia received approval to issue additional Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) food assistance to eligible students who have been learning remotely for a minimum of five consecutive days. All LCS students who have access to the National School Lunch Program are eligible to receive the benefit. Participation in the Program is voluntary. Benefits will be issued between September 30 and October 15. If you received a PEBT card this past spring or summer, your benefits will be automatically added to your card.

When P-EBT households use the automated system, (phone, website, or mobile app) to request a replacement card or access account information, use the following information at each step.

Please direct any questions you have about the P-EBT cards to the Virginia Department of Social Services or 1 (866) 281-2448.

  • "Enter P-EBT card number" - for replacement card, bypass by pressing "2" to use personal information.
  • "Enter primary cardholder's SSN" - all PEBT cardholders must enter 000000000, not their own SSN.
  • "Enter primary cardholders DOB" - all P-EBT cardholders should enter the oldest student's DOB, if there was more than one student's benefits on the card. It is the same student DOB that was used to PIN the card.
  • "Enter PIN" - PEBT cardholders should enter the PIN of the card they are seeking to replace.

MEAL DELIVERY REMINDER

As LCS moves into the hybrid learning model, our meal delivery service will be ending. The last day for meal delivery will be October 2nd. Meals for students participating in remote learning will be available for curbside pick up at the five secondary schools—which include E. C. Glass and Heritage high schools, and Dunbar, Linkhorne, and Sandusky middle schools—Monday through Friday (no holidays) from 11:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. When grades 7-12 begin hybrid instruction, curbside service will switch to Monday, Wednesday and Friday, providing two days worth of meals each serving day. Students receiving in-building instruction will receive meals on the two days they are in the building. On their second day in the building, they will receive take-home meal kits.
