Dear LCS families,

Saying 2020 has been difficult is certainly an understatement.

As we near the end of this challenging year, we’d like to thank our families for your effort and partnership in educating our students during this pandemic. You learned alongside us in this new, remote-teaching setting. You motivated your children and kept them focused. Thank you for your encouragement as well as your feedback to help us get better!

As we leave for the winter break, we want to make sure our families know we remain committed to serving you. Here are some resources from our staff and community:

Nutrition

While School Nutrition curbside meal service will be paused during the break, we are working with the community to ensure resources are still available for families! Please view this flyer from the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, which shares the locations that will be providing food at no cost over the winter break.

Read with Us

Our LCS staff and community members want to stay connected to you during the winter break. Over the break, your child can log in to their Google Classroom or SeeSaw account to see and hear staff members and community members who have recorded themselves reading some great stories just for you. We hope you enjoy our playlist!

Remote instruction and LCS curbside meal pickup will resume on Monday, January 4, 2021.

We will continue to remain in partnership with you, and we will always keep the well-being and education of our students as our top priority.

We look forward to partnering with you in 2021!
