LCS Chromebook Distribution Update - August 12, 2020

Hello LCS families,

This is an important update regarding LCS Chromebook Distribution.

Due to some incoming storms, we will be ending our Chromebook Distribution at 6:00 p.m. this evening and we are cancelling the Chromebook distribution that was scheduled for tomorrow, August 13.

Families who have children in third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grade, as well as new secondary students, can still pick up their child’s Chromebook at the following dates and times:

• Tuesday, August 18 from 10:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
• Wednesday, August 19 from 1:00-7:00 p.m.
• ADDED: Thursday, August 20 from 10:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m.

Please come on the day that best fits your schedule. You should visit the Distribution Site(s) based on which school(s) your child(ren) will attend.

Distribution Sites

After August 20th, Chromebook distribution will move to one location to free up staff for building support. We will continue to distribute Chromebooks at the E. C. Glass student parking lot facing Langhorne Road on the following days and times: 

• Monday, August 24 from 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, August 26 from 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
• Friday, August 28 from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

After August 28th, Chromebook distribution will be handled by appointment only. To schedule a time to pick up a device, contact the LCS Help Desk at (434) 515-5090. 

Also, our IT staff is here to support you throughout the Remote Learning process. If your student is having an issue with their LCS device, please complete the LCS Student Tech Assistance Form and someone will reach out to you.  We will also have repair centers at our five secondary schools. If you need to bring your device to one of our repair centers, please schedule an appointment by contacting the LCS Help Desk at (434) 515-5090.
