The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) has recognized E. C. Glass High School teacher Aaron Reid as the State Speech Educator of the Year. The honor is a part of the NFHS Outstanding Speech Educator Awards.
Virginia High School League (VHSL) Director of Academic Activities Shawn Knight said, “We are thrilled to recognize Aaron, who epitomizes all speech educators in Virginia who tirelessly mentor students daily.”
Mr. Reid has worked as an educator and coach in speech and debate throughout the entirety of his career, and has qualified numerous students for state competition. He has also served as a judge at the state level.
